WISSOTA LATE MODELS RETURN TO FOX RIDGE

By Dan Bailey for FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY (ARCADIA, Wisconsin) – FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY owners Dave Hesch and Jeff Reglin are pleased to announce that the Speedway applied for, and was granted, Late Model sanctioning for the 2006 season from the WISSOTA Sanctioning Body. This means that racing fans and competitors alike will once again be able to revel at the thunder of Late Model action on a regular basis at FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY throughout 2006!

“We are extremely excited about bringing the Late Models back to FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY for the 2006 season,” said Hesch, a former winning Late Model driver himself, “It is our plan to present some of the best racing action in the area to our loyal racing fans; and with the addition of the Late Models to our existing divisions, we feel that racing fans of all sorts will be able to enjoy an excellent season of on-track action!”

Numerous Late Model drivers, car owners and fans had approached Hesch during the ’04 and ’05 seasons enthusiastically voicing their desires to once again see the track host late model races on a weekly basis. After a successful showing of the division at the “THUNDER AT THE RIDGE” special event in October of ’05, Hesch decided that the timing and climate were perfect for a return to FOX RIDGE of the Premier Dirt-Track Motorsports division in all of America!

With the official sanctioning agreement, FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY has agreed to schedule at least 12 events, which is the minimum amount of races to allow the Late Model drivers to run for WISSOTA track point fund money, for the 2006 season. If 2006 proves to be a success for the class, a full schedule will be offered in 2007.

The nights that the Late Models will not be scheduled to run at FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY during the 2006 season will be so as to not conflict with other tracks which have special events on Friday nights thus allowing the Late Model drivers to compete at those events with out losing track points at FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY.

The tentative 2006 schedule for FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY (available at the OFFICIAL FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY web site – www.foxridgespeedway.com) consists of planned on-track excitement from: WISSOTA Late Models, USRA Modifieds, USMTS Modifieds, WISSOTA Super Stocks, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, WISSOTA Street Stocks, & 4-Cylinder Hornets.

The scheduled 2006 purse for the Late Model class at FOX RIDGE SPEEDWAY will be consistent with other tracks in the area.
